I should be admitted to San Jose State University because I am aiming to contribute to society by becoming a programmer. Becoming a programmer would require majoring in something relating to computers and spending two years in a community college like Mission before transferring. Community college is necessary for me because of the A-G requirements that I did not fulfill, having dropped my Algebra 2 class during junior year. Financial aid and scholarships would help me pay for college, and my great grandmother has a college fund. I do not intend to go to an expensive, big-name school like Stanford, Berkeley, or Harvard, so I could probably get a full scholarship. I do not intend to work while going to college.
Programming has always been particularly interesting to me, and I don’t really know anything else I could do as a job other than writing. I do not know about the names of college majors, but something related to computers must be one of them. I know that I’m already qualified for the Pell grant, and that should cover some of the costs of college. Some scholarships are surely out there waiting to be collected, and I’ll be looking for them to cover up as much of the cost of college as I can.
