Objective:
I collaborated with four other people to produce this website, one of our biggest group projects this year. We were instructed to make a website to alleviate homelessness in our community by choosing a specific target audience. We chose to reach out to the friends and family of the homeless.
Problem:
Sometimes when more people are assigned to a task, problematic occurrences--such as miscommunication, rigid differences in opinion, and a scattered work ethics--are more likely to arise. At times there were individuals that would not pull their weight.
Solution:
An act that I took to combat that was taking initiative. Being that two of our members had left the class and that one member, totally new to the coding language we had been using, had been added to the group halfway into the project timeline, I was last remaining original main contributor. It was up to me to layout a plan of action that included dividing the remaining work between the remaining two other members fairly. From there, I checked in constantly with them to ensure that we were all working on something that would further our progress.
