College and Career Plans

Career Goals
I am very interested in, and I want to become a computer programmer. I would like to work at successful companies, such as Apple or Google. Attaining a job at these locations will be difficult, so I would also be satisfied with working at a less popular company as long as I receive a decent salary.
In case my career as a computer programmer doesn’t work out, I plan to go into the field of law enforcement. I am interested in becoming a lawyer, because I have always been concerned with helping others and resolving disputes.
College Plans
To become a computer programmer, I will attend college and major in computer programming or computer science. I plan on earning my degree at UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, or Cal Poly. I have decided to apply to these schools, because their computer science programs are highly rated. If I get accepted into all of these schools, I would choose to attend UC Irvine, but if I don’t get accepted into any of these schools, I would attend a community college and then transfer.
To become a lawyer, I would have to attend law school for three years and pass the bar exam. I would apply to UC Berkeley or UCLA, because they both have great law programs. In order to afford law school I would pay with my savings from previous jobs and I will also freelance in my spare time.
