College and Career Plans

Career Goals
From doodling on the corners of my homework to creating landscape paintings, I realized that I was drawn to creative layouts and beautiful artwork. I have always had an interest in drawing and designing items. Alongside my artistic views, I wanted to create content online just for the fun of it. When I took HTML and JavaScript for making websites and apps, I realized that this is how I wanted to nurture my creativity. Through these interests, my top career choice is to become a UI designer that designs website and app interfaces.
There is always the possibility of a change of heart or a shortcoming on either end of my career option. If that happens, I would switch to being a marine biologist. This second career option is very far from computer science, but I have a strong interest in biology and learning about animals. Marine biologists research about sea life, and can also protect and manage them in sanctuaries. They do a range of work relating to sea creatures, which I would gladly do any day.
College Plans
I found that the general category to which UI belongs to is computer science. Computer science is a major taught in the majority of UCs and CSUs, so I am going to apply closest to the Bay Area. The colleges I am thinking of applying to are SJSU, SFSU, and UCSC. If I do not get into any, I will simply do two years of community college and transfer to one of the three as a junior. While in college or university, I hope to join a company as an intern to get real-world skills.
To become a marine biologist, I have to get a degree in biology and do some research on marine life. To do this, UC Santa Cruz has a well-developed program because it is right next to the ocean. Also, there is an option of UC Santa Barbara because it is also next to a beach. I am not sure of any CSUs that may be good for a biology major. If I do not get into any college, I will take the same path with computer science, and attend a community college before I can transfer after two years to a university with a good biology program.
