Career Goals
My favorite subject is art. I epecially enjoy using my art skill set to help others by designing logos and illustrations that my friends need for various reasons. Listening to their ideas and then working with them to bring a design to life is a wonderful experience. I have always liked working with colors and asthetics, and hope to utilize these skills in a Graphic Design career.
If I end up deciding that graphic design is not a good fit for me, I plan to go to Foothill College to finish an associates degree in Radiologic Technology. Working as a radiologic technologist requires compassion to ease worrying patients. This is a skill that comes somewhat naturally to me, and I would like to build on and utilize in my career. During this time, I also plan to get a part-time job as well as work as a freelance graphic designer.
College Plans
I first plan on building up my experience, as well as an eye for design, by continuing to take online art courses from Foothill College, as well as graphic and web design classes offered at my high school. I then plan on finising an associates degree in Graphic Design and a cerificate in Web Design and Development at Mission College.
I can afford to pay for school and plan to remain living at home while attending college. This way, I will avoid the expenses of living away from home. However, I will also get a part-time job to cover transportation expenses to and from school.
